The coast guard offers some very inexpensive general classes along with specialized instruction in topics such as safety and navigation. If you're a local student or alumni member, Mission Bay Aquatic Center offers economical classes in Sabots, Holders, Lasers and Hobie Cats to help get your feet wet. For the bigger boats, looking for US Sailing or ASA certified instructors can be a helpful guideline to find quality instruction. No matter what option you choose, be sure to have fun!
